Currently there is no programmatic way to discover the links between schema attributes and the relevant codelist. A mapping would be desirable.

David Carpenter We fully agree - but there needs to be some work around the best way to provide this. This is on our work plan for the coming months, but it is yet to be determined exactly how it will shape up in the 1.04 process. It maybe that along side 1.04 we pilot something that could be included in 1.05.

David Carpenter This is great Ben. I think putting any of this into the schema is a bigger change than could happen in the current 1.04 process.
It would be interesting to see what people make of the mapping file and get some feedback on that.
If there is an appetite for this to be better integrated directly into the schema it could be considered as part of a 1.05 or possibly the 2.01 process.
