Using/Interpreting Planned Disbursements

The specification for Planned Disbursement in the IATI standard states that they should include an updated time which is:

"The date on which this line of information was last updated. Previous updates for the same period should also be reported."

Does this mean that:

  • Publishers might have more than one planned disbursement in their file for the same period.
  • The planned disbursement should always be an aggregate of all disbursement planned for that period
  • That any applications using the data should select only one planned disbursement record for any period, preferring the one with the most recent updated date?

@ Tim, thanks for posting this. I second that the definition of Planned Disbursement needs to be revised as it is not very clear!

The updated time has been removed in 2.01.

Definitions and guidance are also improved to deal with the questions raised above.
