The name of the new element "Aid Type Flag" is creating confusion with the "Type of Aid" item, which is an entirely different element in the IATI Standard. Since, this element is meant to publish other CRS fields and because the added flags are all part of the supplementary data in the CRS guidelines, we suggest to recode it to "Other CRS elements", "Supplementary Data" or simply "Other flags" to avoid confusion.

Renaming an element is not possible in a decimal upgrade, but could be considered in an integer upgrade.
In the meantime, confusion can and should be dealt with through improved guidance.
If there is a real desire to change the name of this element, then this issue can be pushed to the 2.01 upgrade process.
Yes, the suggestion is to rename the 'Aid Type Flag' because it's really similar to the 'Type of Aid' element of the standard and causes confusion among data users.
Improved guidance might help reduce confusion in the short term, but in the longer term it would make more sense to dissociate the 'Aid type Flag' from the type of aid classification. Also, with a growing demand for data and a constantly increasing number of users, it will be even more important to clarify these terms in the 2.01 upgrade.

As this does not alter functionality, but only a name, I propose that it is included in 2.01.
I propose we rename <aid-type-flag> to <ftc-pb-ip-af>. This has specific meaning to CRS reporters and will not be used by anyone else.
NB. For the record CRS Reporting Guidelines use "Type of Aid" in CRS++ standard for both Col 13 (IATI aid-type) and as a sub-heading for Cols 24-27 (IATI aid-type-flag)
<ftc-pb-ip-af> is incomprehensible. I would prefer element names to be understandable rather than obfuscated. Is there a more straightforward term?
We agree John. Is crs-add/other-flags acceptable?
